Settings worth changing

The handful of settings the sources actually recommend, and the two beta-era binds to leave alone.

What this covers

Only one of our sources is a settings guide, Overgear's, so this page is short. It lists what Overgear recommends, plus the bind notes from the community control lists. Where the sources say nothing, neither do we.

Field of view

Overgear recommends a field of view of 95: enough peripheral vision without shrinking distant targets. Alongside it, vehicle FOV 90 in both first and third person, weapon view model scale 4, and ADS FOV set to Affected.

Mouse

800 DPI with in-game sensitivity 0.70, ADS multiplier 1.00, mouse acceleration 0, sensitivity scaling mode Relative. Treat the numbers as a starting point; the part that matters is acceleration off. In vehicles a separate sensitivity multiplier applies and goes up to 2.0. Raise it if turret aim feels slow next to your infantry aim.

Audio and voice

3D spatial audio on, voice chat on. Voice is used constantly: proximity chat for whoever is near you, and a separate squad radio once you join a squad, which you should do on spawn. The default push-to-talk keys are J for squad and K for proximity, both a reach from WASD, so a mouse side button is the usual rebind.

Graphics

Overgear's list, chosen for readability rather than looks.

SettingValue
View distanceHigh
ShadowsLow
Global illuminationOff
Motion blurOff
Depth of fieldOff
Post-processingLow
ReflectionsLow
Texture qualityHigh, if VRAM allows
VSyncOff

The reasoning: shadows on Low clears dark corners, and motion blur and depth of field hide exactly the distant movement you are trying to see.

Map and binds

M opens the tactical map and X recenters it. Page Up and Page Down step your zero in 100 m increments; most weapons default to 100 m and the current zero shows bottom-right. Two beta-era warnings from the bind lists: leave Space and right mouse alone when rebinding, since both carried conflicts, and never move a flight action onto Space, which silently overwrites the parachute. The full default layout is on our binds page.
